In the past month I've been out on two different camping trips. One in the San Rafael Swell area in southern Utah and the other to the City of Rocks in Idaho via the Transcontinental Railroad that through this part of Utah is now a fun desert trail. Two Disco's - zero problems

Did not really do anything but I hit 280000 KM or about 174000 miles. Had to pull out in a bit of a hurry and the Disco chirped the tires nicely and leaned a bit more than expected but all was good.

Got the family out for the first outing this year. Slow melt so far this season in CO. Our 9 month olds first camping trip and she had a blast! Side note will be putting the darn severe fan clutch back on for the summer as much as I hate it. Truck was unable to get back down under 195 or so after running up the mountains with the ac blasted and loaded down. Which isn’t shocking things were completely heat soaked plus elevation kills these trucks.

Today we are unpacking the D2 after an amazing trip camping at Mt Shasta, several good spots along the Oregon coast and then taking the inland route back home. We traveled ~1400miles round-trip and I can only surmise that their were zero vehicle issues because I had recently purchased the complete Extinct spares kit.

Here is a cool photo from Crater Lake....

I picked up a Hawkeye diagnostic tool for a Disco 2 V8 & Td5.
It was priced cheap and is very impressive when testing out it on Myrtle. Me thinks I’ll stick with me Nanocom.

Default Bare Aluminum Disco

So with being semi-retired and having far too much time on my hands i decided to make my Disco a "One of a kind".

I stripped all paint from top to bottom to revel her beautiful aluminum skin and steel doors and roof. I sealed all aluminum with Shark Hide and then went about accenting her hood, roof, body lines and doors with bed liner to create the large scale Union Jack doors. It definitely took a good bit of elbow grease and time but I feel it was well worth it.
