The Defender is right-hand drive. Owner is Canadian, apparently.
The G4 has the Special Vehicles plaque under the bonnet, so it's genuine.
Uh oh. Looks dangerous ...

Doing my pre inspection for Rover Rendezvous and found that my sway bar disconnect disconnected itself at some point. Last inspection for this point was maybe a month ago. I am goign to leave them disconnected and see how it goes.

Headlight bulb out and replaced. A simple job, but the holding screw on the internal side was missing and trying to work the front grill out to access the light assembly, with the front bull bar, grille, flood lights causing limited clearance, was a pain - but all done! Always interesting to see what is missing or tacked together on a new vehicle.
Next job - sorting out the intermittent 3 Amigos!

Get the ABS codes read, and if there is a wheel speed sensor fault don't presume you need to replace it or the hub.

Many WSS faults are caused by faulty connectors that can be removed and the wires spliced together.

Today I had to admit defeat on one of the rear window channels haha. I ordered another one.

Installed 3rd row about 85%. Figured while I was back there, diagnose the rear wiper motor.

Got title and registration/insurance done finally, so going to start daily driving it to find out any issues. MIL came back on, so going to pull codes and see what that is. Airbag light also on. But so far no amigos but maybe just have to drive it more haha.

I'm finding a lot of little clues that at least one past owner of this truck loved it and was trying to maintain it well, as well as evidence of a lot of weird abuse on the interior, as seen in photos.

Headliner fabric was removed and headliner backboard was plastidip sprayed. I kind of like the look, and it's less work for me to try to do anything else. While I have the rear trim off I'm going to check out the sunroof drains.

I like the diode dynamics SS3, if you call them they should be able to help with a mounting adapter for your size hole.
