Not a fan of jeep by any stretch of the imagination, but I would like to see before I crash into one. Could I see the design?

I bought the cheapest set of lights off ebay to get the pattern needed for the lights to fit into. Trim rings were an amazon purchase. 3d printed some spacers so I could aim the lights down better. Galvanized steel plates in the end painted flat black. The rings on the lights are white but turn amber when the turn siginal is on - that's kind of cool. I just drove 5 hours in the dark and even the cheapo $35 ebay lights were much better than the 25 year old originals.

Still have some work to do solid mounting the solenoids and better mounting the compressor, but got tired of dealing with plastic line issues due to exhaust heat and re-ran my locker lines with copper tube town to the frame. Good enough for a weekend of wheeling.

Replaced the shuttle valve switch and came away with a 'lesson learned' that I didn't figure out until after sweating like crazy for a good 45 minutes: Use wood and a hex socket

wood to support the abs module so that your hands can focus on meaningful work

That must have been a bit of a tough ride, Defender not exactly luxury vehicle.

I used my earphones the whole drive so the wind noise wasn't too bad. This truck is missing some door seals LMAO. Overall the truck road pretty comfy considering the age and it was mostly unloaded with HD rear springs. The brake servo gave up the ghost about 300km into the journey and then the WP rubbed the upper coolant hose through as i got home. Overall, the truck was great and felt great. Still has some small things to sort out as they do but considering this truck spent its entire life in Holland, it did pretty dang well after sitting for a few months to take me through the desert and over several passes to get back to SF. Only major service it's had since arriving here is a timing belt, oil change, and air/fuel filters. Planning to do the brake fluid, diffs, tcase, and trans soon and then some basic mods so I can start shaking it down.

Good to know, I have a feeling I may be doing the same thing shortly. I got the Three Amigos on my way home last night.

Agreed. Those brake lines can be flexed more than one might expect.

The SVS electical fault is a likely cause, but be sure to get the ABS codes read before diving into Option B.

just picked up a 1.4 t-case to swap into the white disco. Simply too heavy and 33s it needs a little help with the gearing, more power is the true solution but a t-case is easier and cheaper than re-gearing diffs. I already have an air locker in the rear and don't plan on a front anytime soon so really don't need to crack into the diffs if avoidable.
