Drove it to run some errands and heard a flapping sound that went away. Went to inspect when I got home and found I'd lost one of the rear trim pieces. New one ordered off eBay for $95 delivered.

 

Pull those flares! You won't regret it. The color matched beneath looks soo good. Get a 3M adhesive remover drill attachment to get the old remaining stuff off

 

I actually have new flares sitting in a box in the back of the Disco lol

 

Looks SOOO much better without them!!!

 

Everytime l see a Dll from this prespective...it definitely wins the "best behind" category of any SUV. And it makes me want to build one more Dll. Was out in the back building the other day, looking at the rocker sliders, lifts and crap l have for Dll's...and thought...man, l should sell this stuff before l do something stupid...lol.

 

Just got this GEM. It had been sitting a long time in Coleman, Texas and now at my house in Midland,Tx. New battery. Crank, no start. Changed spark plugs and wires, no start. New Ignition coil. No start. All of these things needed to be replaced anyway. It is the fuel pump and waiting on that to be delivered any day now. It started with starter fluid. I am super excited about this disco. Not many 5 speed manuals around anymore. In my 65 years of life, I have owned many of them and wished I had kept them however ended up selling them eventually.

I'd argue front/side and side profiles too! The photos were back in January and haven't been edited, color corrected, or anything. Just taken on an iPhone 11.
