Default 03' Freelander acting up

Hi there I own an 03' Freelander and just recently when i come to a stop sign it will occasionly have a stready shake in it. This morning i went out and started it, the Rpms held at 2000 then began to shutter as they fell to 1000rpms at which point it stalled out on me. I started it two more times befor it held and stayed idleing, it seems to be driving fine when I got it moving, but something just doesnt feel right. Does anyone know anything about any possible Heat realted problems with freelanders? Or any other problems with them? Mine currently has 84700 miles on it, 4000 of which are mine, i bought it used in january and ive taken good care of it since ive had it.

Im just trying not to panic, I am a college student with a part time job, crossing my fingers this isnt gunna be a huge problem for me.

if it wont start after a hot soak its probably the cam sensor. spray it down with brake clean after it warms up to verify the problem.

if it just runs like crap then it might be filling up with coolant and then its probably needs an engine as the head gaskets rot away and pit the heads and they can be machined.

Get rid of this vehicle now. Seriously, get rid of it. if you can prove the timing belt was changed then maybe keep it a bit but if you can't its an eight hour job and lots of money you wont have.

either way get rid of this vehicle now before you are completely screwed.

The Freelander is a HUGE POS, and this is coming from Rover people.
Rovin is a Rover tech, he works on these piles all day.
Search e-bay and you will find Freelander after Freelander with a blown engine and less than 100k.
If its not to late you might want to look into buying a warranty.
