Just spent $3000 fixing a lot of problems... now new ones.
I spent almost $3000 fixing the upper control arms, bushings, tie rods, battery, alternator and ac compressor.... I thought I had a well running rig.
A few hundred miles later while just casually driving down the road the yellow brake light comes on then the yellow air suspension icon and then the yellow dynamic stability control icon...
the car with then lower itself.
Is this a result of the mechanics doing something wrong when they put on the new control arms/tie rods/ect?
I have to take it to a GM dealership, so they might not have done something correctly... what should i have them look for.
edit:
also I just remembered about a new sound that is seemingly coming from the back (left?) sometimes on cold start ups....its like a whizzing sound inside the car.... zoooooom.....zooomm.......zooooom.... then goes away.
Air suspension seems to raise and lower fast enough... not sure if thats related...
These cars are CRAZY upkeep.
Thanks guys.

Doc,
I'd take it back to the GM dealership, warranty-wise, etc., hope you paid with plastic so it can be disputed.
Year and model of the truck would be helpful as well.

Im sirry.
Its a 2006 lr3 HSE
Its out of warranty.. I bought it used as a work vehicle last may... its given me a lot of issues. the original dealership is 3 hours away and not helpful. So I had to do my latest repairs at a local GM dealership.
I will go back to the local GM dealership to look at these issues, since they were not there before they put on the new control arms/ect... I just wanted to know if anyone knew what could be the issues as the GM dealership might overlook something since they are not familiar with lr3s.

The yellow brake light is usually for pads. Maybe they disconnected the sensor when doing the arms. It might have broken.
Of course with as many things as you have going on, maybe a battery issue?
Maybe a height sensor was damaged causing the suspension issue?
I'm not an expert, just guesses.

The steering wheel is a little crooked.
I took it offroading after i got it back make sure there were no clunks... as i was coming out of a rut with my wheel turn I guess it messed up the alignment.
Now i have to hold it at the ten o'clock position to go straight.... haven't had a chance to go back to have the alignment done again.
Seems I need to get on it....
interesting how you guess that.

In his case it is not a guess, being he is a working pro. One of the great things about this forum, having people from all over.
If you like, you can download the whole shop manual set on the LR3, in links below. Even if you don't do the work you can check their ideas. Some carry this on a USB drive in the glove box. I have also attached the maintenance list and a few other pages from the manual.
