Lights flashing on shifter indicator and trans shifting funny ?

Default Lights flashing on shifter indicator and trans shifting funny ?

ok we just drove 1800 miles and on the way back the lights on my shifter starter flashing atuo trans and it still runs fine it just shifts funny and wont go into low range does anyone know what this could be we hit a dog on the way back i dont know if we knock something loose or what i have looked but cant find anything any help would be great the lights also flash when you put it in low range to but the transmisson doesnt change how it shifts like usual 1996 land rover any help would be great.

its a 1996 range rover and it is the lights on the shifter were it says p r n 1 2 3 the backlight

I think those lights may be driven by the shift console switch pack outstation, an electronics module where that big gulp cup could have leaked on. See attached.

And a common ground for many tranny things - E621, under seat. Please check. Animal hit may also have knocked the XYZ switch that tells computer what gear you have selected. On side of tranny.

Start by checking the battery and alternator voltage, the transmission is electronic and if the trans computer is not getting the correct amount of voltage it will act funny.
The lights flashing indicate a fault.

I checked the batt. and the alterntor all good there were is this xyz switch at so i can check it thanks for all the help

Ok its saying shift to neutral when you have in any gear and when you put in park it says gearbox fault if someone could help that would be great thanks
