Air Suspension Fault after new pump install
#21
that could be. I replaced it last winter. I looked at all the wiring, seemed ok, but could be a bad valve block. It happened less before I changed it

Yes, you've totally got it. The problem is if the center block isn't able to vent the gallery stays charged so the pressure that is in the front and the rear is now connected together with the vent closed. The system doesn't care if it is Hitachi or an external compressor as long as the system reacts the way the computer thinks it should react (not too fast, not too slow, close the right circuit, etc). Often times replacing the block doesn't change anything if the contacts are still corroded.
one more thing to add. I recently got new tires on it and for 3 days I had no faults. Could that possibly be the height sensors?

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue with C1A18-64 fault coming back after replacing the compressor (AMK), servicing the center block (new O rings), and reflashing ECU. I was jazzed when the fault went away for 2 weeks but it came back! Maybe I’ll try cleaning electrical connectors or replacing the center block altogether.
