Default Drivers window

The drivers door window recently stopped going all the way to the top. I was noticing more and more wind noise and so after a short investigation I see the window doesn't go all the way to the top stopping about .25". I can grasp the window and slide it up the rest of the way but it won't stay there and slides back down.

IS there an adjustment to the electric mechanism for play or is the mechanism on its way out and will need replaced with a new $500 part?

How is the door panel held on? A thousand plastic clips like other cars half of which will brake upon removal or some other means?

Thanks

Thanks for that!

I forget to look at You Tube for instructions like this.

So then does this mean I will have to replace the regulator?

Ya know I'm not too sure honestly. If it's going up half way, it would imply to me it's mechanical and not electrical (failed motor) but I could be wrong.I think once you're in there you'll see exactly what it's doing.

Before you start taking stuff apart, you should try window motor re calibrating procedure. If you have a auto feature and I am sure you do, there is a sequence that one should follow if window stops going all the way to the top.I can't find it , although, I had it written on piece of paper somewhere, anyway, you should ask for it on british forum, they should answer your Q. pretty quickly.Your problem could be that simple . Good luck
