Turning off flashing Parking Light with GAP after cutting cable
My parking brake got locked into the engaged position while parked downtown. The "force release when moving" didn't work, neither did the manual release under the console. So after getting flaked on by my independent mechanic to provide an on site fix, I was able to have my local shop cut the cable to force it to disengage so I could at least drive the rig.
I don't mind not having a parking brake for the time being to be honest, but the red flashing parking light on the dash is hard to ignore. I thought it'd be a simple GAP iid toggle but so far not having any luck - can it be done? Or do I need a piece of gaff tape for my sanity until I get the brake fixed for good?

Pull the fuse in the engine bay for the parking brake. I think it is a larger square one with a window. That usually disables the flashing light but you may end up with a yellow "brake" light instead, the one that comes on for wear indication.
