Cheap cowling DIY hack. A strip of 1.5 inch Flex Tape and a dusting of bed liner paint, should last me a couple more years before I have to purchase a new one.
Picked up a hitachi air suspension compressor for free to use as a spare, it had a service kit put thru it but i found the drier was blocked up at the intake end so will give it fresh dessicant and filters and see how it goes.
Also purchased a service kit to put thru mine as a preventative measure being that its the original and dont think its ever been touched.
You may want to pull that tape and move it up, 50/50. 50 on the cowl, 50% on the windshield. I used all weather electrical tape and it worked fine for a long time. But give the cowl is about $100 I did end up replacing mine - which now has a slight warp to it...
As for cluster upgrade, keep in mind on early models if you do so you end up with a "headlights on" indicator at the lower left. It will be orange because it was for the standby heater or something. On newer models its a green headlight icon instead.

I dont think that is an issues anymore. There is an instrument ECU flash option "2007+ features for pre-2007 vehicles". Works great.
EAS guided calibration fixed my >55 mph cross-articulation errors.
The 3 blink Body control ECU flash failed to load not sure why - got scarred and decided 2 out of 3 is a good day.
Sold the old EASControl on ebay in 1 day - Should have upgraded long ago!!
