It's been one of those kind of days

Water pump gasket failed and the thermostat housing was leaking. Also the 3 month old alternator kicked the bucket and took out the batter on its way out the door. Got to get this junk wagon ready for Winter Romp though as it is time for the yearly pilgrimage to Waterville ME

Every year I have been putting that project off. My water pump is getting dusty.... I think I finally just need to get er done. No issues, but I think my t-stat housing is original along with the water pump. I also plan to replace that hose on the back of the water pump, under the intake.

Mine was peeing on the floor so it was time.

I was surprised I had replaced the pump 3 months ago, with an Airtex, the pump was leaking from the body joint gasket and the pump to block gasket had the same consistency as wet toilet paper. Seems Airtex is now lower quality than BritPart

Did you use a factory loom or made it up yourself ?

Nice job with the console lid. Where did you source the leather?

Default I doubt he re-did just the leather....

The 2008 model had an option for this fancier console lid. I swapped it in my 2005, too. I think I found it for a couple hundred bucks, and then sold my old one for a hundred. Easy swap.

That certainly looks like a re-cover to me. The leathers are available on eBay for $25. I plan on doing mine too, my dog trashed mine with his nails. And he will trash the new cover to eventually.... lol

....after further review (and seeing it on a larger monitor) I concede that you are correct. The Land Rover lid with genuine leather is more smooth. Here is mine on my 2005. Easy swap.
