I reassembled....... It went quiet well,

My battery had went completely dead, and would not take a charge, so I had to replace it.

I received an email from Lucky8. The correct replacement hidden winch mount shipped. Fingers crossed.

What part of the crossbar do you need to cut for the winch tray to fit? Licky8 told me that was the only cutting that I'd need to do.

Do you have any pics of the sliders before you installed them? I was going to make some but possibly bring the bash bar down some so that wife and kids have a slightly lower step in... and possibly add a kick out before the rear tire... i haven't rolled around under the vehicle enough to see what I am getting in to. I took pics of the trek vehicle at the dealer from the bottom side but still am not exaclty sure where they are bolted up.

TexasLandmark, let me dig up all the pic I have on the cuts to be made. It is the only cuts that I see so far that will need made.

I will see if I have any slider pics too...... give me a few minutes.

Ok. So if I am looking at that correctly, the cut isn't because of the tray but because of the winch drum? Mine may clear.... or cause different cuts. I'll be using a Warn m8000 I took off my 93 Bronco... i will definitely be relocating my solenoid pack by the looks of that picture....
yeah twice the weight of your vehicle or whatever for winch rating... I used the 8k for years without issue on a very heavy locked Bronco on 35s without issues. Never needed a ****** block for extra power... just to redirect.

Yes, it seems to be cut to clear drum. I too ran an 8K winch for years. Its mainly common sense..... your not dragging a lead sled, your pulling a box on wheels....lol

Start you a build thread and share with everyone your journey along with me!

I now have to schedule my winch install.

here is my thread. Wheels, tires, lift, sliders, few cuts on extra sourced panels, winch, and possible front skid plate. Just mild stuff... waiting on lucky8 to get back with me on winch plate... have been playing ping pong on email with them.

You got the factor55 fairlead? Is there something special about it? They said you need it to not have to perform extra cuts on the bumper... I'm guessing that it's just not as tall as most? I was just going to machine down a generic one... but depending on the package they come up with for me, I may just get it.
