Electric Gurus, I need your help
Here's the scoop. I've got a Black and Decker LED light bar that got accidentally hooked up to the wrong charger for a long period of time, and I'm assuming it fried the battery, as I can no longer get it to power on.
ASSUMING that the lights are still functional, could I rig this up in my Disco, using the wiring from my dome lights?
Thanks in advance for the help!

I just soldered onto lamp prongs. You can also buy that bulb style in LED from superbrightleds.com. Assume that battery in original gizmo was 12 volt.
It will dim in steps like regular bulb, less drain on the multi-function unit which is the timer for that dimming function.

I've got an LED bulb up front, but looking for something with a little more umph in the rear for digging out cargo and such. Now I'll just need to figure out a good way to mount and protect it.

The issue with that might be how it dims the lighting. I am not sure if the bcu knows how much its letting go as far as amperage. it might take longer to go dim because less power is used or if too much power is used then it might go black suddenly because not enough amperage. Honestly if you want a solid light that wont have issues with the fuse box then run a relay in the back off the latch so that when its open it will cause the power to be drawn and the relay to open cause the LED lights to come on. Plus you can run alot more lights in the rear using this setup as all the lights can now be separated from the fuse box and not cause any additional draw on the system.
