Same issue here. Wanted to test this out with my RTT last night but couldn’t figure it out. I sent the GAP team an email. I have the G4 BT and a 2020 110 P400.

Anyone have any idea if it's possible to enable the passenger airbag option on US market cars with the GAP Tool? It appears that this option only shows up with UK vehicles, not US ones, clearly shown in iGuide here : https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/...98320/G2754496 , vs the US market version here : https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/...68491/G2754497 . Note under the vehicle menu on the UK manual it shows a passenger airbag option, US/Canada does not. Clearly some regulatory issue, there must be something in the CCF for this.

I noticed there is an item MultiCAN-473 PassFrontAirbag and MultiCAN-451 mPACOS Without Passenger Airbag Deactivation Switch. That has different options, was wondering if anyone has heard/seen anything about these, or if there is another setting that might enable this? Figure I'd ask before I start screwing around with it myself, searching around didn't yield anything.

Those embedded links ask for a language, and then default to a home screen.

What is the difference in air bag control between a UK and a US vehicle? What are you trying to achieve?

If you select a language, and then come back to the forum and click the link again it'll work. This will make more sense when you see the pages, note point 7 (vehicle menu), in the UK there is an option to manually disable the passenger airbag from the instrument cluster menu. in the US/Canada this option is not there. I know it automatically disables the airbag based on a weight sensor in the seat, it does this in all markets, but I'd like to have the option to override that sensor like they have in the UK.

Haven't finished reading the whole thread yet, but do these settings stop the vehicle from firing up all the electronics everytime door is opened? RTT is on order and planning to do a bunch of configuration changes this weekend. A bit nervous for my first time out camping in the woods resulting in a low voltage / dead vehicle .. doh!

Are there configuration changes / is there a way to stop the Defender from booting up everytime a door is opened while camping?

Yes. It's dead simple. Leave 1 door cracked. Car will shut down and stay shut down. You can open and close all the doors to your hearts desire. The car will not fire back up. At night when you're bedding down, close the door (or not) and lock up (or not). When camping remote I leave the door cracked and lock it last thing. More to keep bears away from food in the car. Never had any power related issues camping. Zero.

it's not the lights that are draining battery but computers and PIVI starting up.

I've actually found a decent solution to this problem if you're a frequent camper. EcoFlow just released a new 800W alternator that lets you connect any of your external batteries to your car's 12v and charge the external battery at an incredible 800w...BUT it also has a 3rd connecter that allows the connection to flow the other way; effectively turning any external battery into an extended battery for your car. So during times when you are driving, you can charge up your external battery and during times you are idle and worried about the car dying you just hook it up the other way.

This issue is definitely a huge oversight in the design of the car, but this is the best solution I have found so far as people who are camping in 2024 tend to bring battery packs with them.

Funny enough they are actually having a sale on this product on EcoFlow's site until Feb 2nd or so: https://us.ecoflow.com/products/800w-alternator-charger
