GAP IID Tool Summary
I’ve read about the park assist activation issue for a few months and a lightbulb just went off in my head.
This dilemma sounds very similar to the dilemma adding paddle shifters. Physically add the paddles and harness, change the CCF telling the car it has paddles, it would even show up in pivi but the “active in drive/sport” button in pivi didn’t work and the paddles wouldn’t work…. Until you do a TCM relearn. The TCU relearned the CCF and then instantly the paddles work.
Im really wondering if an ECU needs to do a relearn to get it to work?
I also wonder if this would assist with the remembering last settings (deactivating start/stop) on some vehicles. It seems as though some of these companies that sell the service of activating different things are able to do it.
does anyone know what ECU park assist or the auto start stop would be tied into and try to do a relearn to see if it starts to work?
I have a 2020 X that I changed the CCF for the auto start stop but it doesn’t work. Wondering what ecu it may be ties to for a relearn. Same with the park assist.

my start stop memory does not work. Matters not as I don’t turn it off.
my park assist does.
if there is a learning going on, it seems my MY22 is a dumbas$
A hearty thank you to all who have contributed to this thread. I received my G4 and began to play around with the innocuous settings on my 2020 L663. First with the 007 logo and Auto Start/Stop. 007 worked, Auto SS, no joy. Moved on to Dynamic Mode and no joy after many iterations of settings. I could see the Dynamic Icon in the menu, bring up the settings, G-Meter etc and could see the Dynamic Icon when pressing the TR button but could not use the selector **** to hover over the icon to select Dynamic.
Two days of futzing with the it, including performing a battery disconnect reboot yielded no joy. In the meantime, I was able to successfully activate ACC and moved on to try my luck at Park Assist, which similar to Dynamic mode, can see all of the menu icons and passenger side icon on Pivi, all without any response from the vehicle.
With the newest Park Assist frustration, I focused back on Dynamic Mode and after RTFM, I discovered that the touch screen can be used to select TR modes, so I tried it to move from Comfort to Snow and Grass and it worked. What the heck, try Dynamic...and it worked via the touch screen. Still cannot select via the **** but at least now it works.
So those who have been frustrated by Dynamic Mode...give the touch screen method a try. My apologies to anyone who may have posted this method in the prior 47 pages...admittedly I did skim many pages, opting my focus on posts with obvious settings and discussions.
As Gavin has pointed out, there seem to be little gremlins in the code that throw many of us a curve ball or two.
