Default Air Conditioning Fail

Jumped in the Disco yesterday, no air conditioning. It was working fine the day before but now nothing. The fan still works. I've checked a couple of fuses but measured OK. Any ideas?

It could be the switch in the dash. With the car running, push the switch on.

Open the hood and look at the AC compressor to see if the center is spinning or just the outer pulley. If the center isn't spinning, the switch has not turned on the compressor.

I have fixed more than 3 AC systems by changing the switch out.

Good luck, interested to hear if this is the fix.

Thanks Abran, I'll check it on the weekend and get back to you.

Finally had a chance to look at the compressor. The centre plate/clutch was missing. Luckily I found it nesting amongst some pipes lower in the bay. Very lucky. All good now, thanks.

That's right! The bus was driven for 2 weeks and the plate didn't dislodge from its nest.
