So what did you do to your Disco today?
Lol, Yeah, something like 60nm or 45ftlbs. I know it's overkill, but gave my lathe guy something to do and I needed to get them off with something besides a hammer and old flat screwdriver

Did wheel bearings on all four corners. The disco was grateful and gave me a tiny shiny bracelet. I think it used to be a bearing cage. The inner race was also seized onto the stub shaft. Dremel and a chisel fixed that.
Rebuild the swivels, check/replace all front end bushings, check/replace tie rods, CV's aren't worn out and make sure the steering gearbox bolts and drop arm nut are tight. That covers it for death wobble....... never is just one thing. Oh, check your alignment too.
Thanks guys, I am working towards that. I needed front brakes so I was able to check the wheel bearing preload. I am going to get new panhard bar bushings and tie rod ends next to see what that does. To be continued......
Installed front half of Terra Firma TF201 light duty spring/shock set. Dealing with the deformed lug nuts was as much trouble as the rest of it. I reformed them in my vice once I got them off, not down to the 27mm standard size but good with a 28mm six point socket. I did this spring upgrade because the truck was listing noticeably to the right after the last adventure. Looking under the truck, the right side spring appeared to have fewer coils than the left side. Figured that couldn’t be, but upon removal sure enough that spring was an inch shorter and two coils less than the left side. WTF? I know springs are sometimes handed, but they can’t be that different. One can only guess what occurred over the twenty year 174000 mile existence of this truck. Whatever, the new springs are in there now, gave a two inch lift on this bone stock Rover. The shocks that came off were Land Rover branded shocks and completely dead. Originals? Nothing would surprise me. I amazed the truck did so well on the recent Death Valley foray. Still leans a bit to the right, about an inch difference from the left. Rear springs may be part of that story, I will know shortly. If it still leans, I won't care.
Is that the spec? Something I don't remember checking on mine, and still have a bit of t3h wobble.
