2000 disco 2 head gasket job
I can assure you and all other members that I am the last guy you want wrenching on your truck, that little black cloud of problems follows me around like in Lil Abner.

I was speaking about the intake bolts, I assumed that you had already got the heads down. The cheater bar makes it easy. I had to use a 3 inch extension on the back head bolts.

good job getting the heads on.
The lower intake well rests on the valley gasket.
Put Permatex on the LIPS of the rear and the front of the engine the lip in back n and in front n.
Those have the new little rubber S fittings. And then the metal retainer.
You put dabs of Permatex where the head meets the lower intake. each corner.
Intake bolts will go on by hand. If not, the intake is binding them.
Get the all loose.
The the tight ones will fit in too.
If a bolt is tight, grap the manifold shake it back and forth
with one hand, find the sweet spot for the bolt with the other.
Finger them all tight.
There is technique in this.
Then the the torquing begins.
When that is done, put in the rods to the can shafts thru each head in the order they came out.
Put on the Rocker ARM shaft and arms.
Tighten that down in stages then torque it on.
Worst part is putting on the valve cover gaskets. Use Permatex Aviation gasket to glue them to the valve cover first, else they walk around on you.
