Did a "poor mans" brake fluid change, used a pump to pull out a 1 pint of old fluid replaced with new Valvoline fluid. It actually made a significant difference in brake feel. And it took about 5 minutes. Will do it again at some point to improve the average of the fluid.

Did the same with the power steering fluid. Not a noticeable difference there.

after too many months of reaching over to unlock my passenger front door from the inside, i installed a new door lock actuator. i've done this before on a rear door, so had a good idea of what was involved. i decided to go with a brand-new part that i purchased from partsgeek.com. you can buy these used (from what i've seen on eBay) for around $60-ish, but to me doesn't make much sense to pay that much for a used one (that's going to be 'at least' 10 years old) when you can get a brand-new one for around $125-ish. especially with as much of a PIA they are to install. yes, doable... but still a PIA.

Default Bajarack (standard)

After a long wait, received my Bajarack & installed it immediately (in a Florida rain, which my wife found comical!) Very happy with this unit. It is stout! Will be putting it through it's paces this Fall...

Fitted new General Grabber AT2s. Thanks for the forum and contributors for helping me with tire choice. I installed the 255/60-18s on my Hurricane rims. As someone here stated, they fill the wheel-well space much better than the 255/55s. I believe my old tires were original as the truck only has 56k on the odo.
Next up - a decent front bumper.

Very nice! I did the same about a year ago. I used a black suade pig skin. We will not have to worry about that flaky nonsense again.

Not the mega mule...this is the "standard" rack for the Disco. There is another option that is considerably taller, but same flooring. The flooring was the selling point for me. We do a lot of camping, kayaking, etc. so I felt this was the best fit. As it goes, the following day the Mrs. had me "break it in" by hauling a new rug home. Good times!
I also installed the dual Jerry can attatchment in the foreward tray. I am eager to load it up for a trip!

Almost all of the caliper piston seals were torn and mud and sand had got in and caused havoc. I found that my RF and LR brakes were dragging really bad and more then likely were the cause of my low MPG and power loss. I'll fill up the tank and see if it made any difference. The truck really seems to stop great now with the new pads and SS lines. I can't wait for the pads to bed-in so I can fell there true power.

And on a side note, I started another project I've been dreaming up for the last year. I won't give away to many of the details as I'm keeping many of the details under wraps and hoping for one big unveiling when it's finished. I will give you the project code name "Aqua Rover" and tell you it will be land rover themed to match my Disco, look nothing like it does now, and let your imagination run wild from there.

Some good worthwhile work Jared, satisfying and productive.
