When I was looking around there was some debate whether or not to remove the cooler...I decided on the NON-DRIPPING MESS approach, I left the cooler in...I'm glad I did. I found no problems negotiating with it attached///and NOT having to mess w/ dripping lines, draining the flippin' thing, et al. I found a short of 2X4, a pair of vise grips, a long Philips screw driver and a 1/4" drill bit to be very handy. The whole operation, I did it 3-4 mths ago...meant to post sooner, alas,... didn't take more than 3 hrs max. I know how daunting it looks when one gazes down into the pit of despair...LOL! engine compartment!...
I don't remember which brand I used...some people did, some didn't like it, cost in the 2-250 range. Been working flawlessly so far...keep clean coolant in the system...Oh, avoid having your FAN go through it! It'll, most likely, last ad infinitum...
The pics aren't in order of operations...the 1/4" hole and screw driver were among the 1st operations, if I remember the 2X4 was next, the cooler on top was 3rd and the vise grips were on the way back in...

An automotive machine...any machine shop, Harbor Freight has a small press for around $100 that'll do it...Check out, as in call the Urethane Bushing guys, there a couple of them...they generally have a size readily adaptable to ANYTHING...Oh, as for the pressing activity, generally, a set of large sockets fits the bill...It all looks good!

I finally finally snagged a pair of 2004 Disco roof rails! I got them for $75 which was higher than Id like to spend but it's actually a hell of a deal on ebay. I never see 04s at my local junk yard.
I'm going to redo the headliner in black and replace the sunroof seals while replacing the roof rails. I want to get it all done in one go. My headliner looks crap and is sagging. More recently I've noticed water dripping down on me when I come to a stop when it rains. So I suspect my sunroof seals are trashed.

Guys today I finally made some decent observations with my "tick" as you could call it. I hear a click or "tick" when I'm driving but I've noticed that I only hear it when accelerating and my foot is on the gas pedal. Otherwise when coasting it disappears. I won't hear this tick when I park the truck and rev the engine. It appears to only happen under load.
Does this mean anything?
