Well went to take the air box out and take some measurements to look at trying to modify it. During the removal process the weaved material from the air box going to the fender actually ripped apart. It was weird the screws where out bottom of the air box already loose, all I did was slightly bend the weave to clear the studs and pop. Well needing to use the truck later today I did the only thing possible. I went to advance picked up a new k&n 3.5" universal filter and attached it to the MAF. So now I have taken measurements and am having a custom intake built because I can get it fabricated for less then replacing the part I broke. Will provide picture once the deed is done.

Default cheap fix

There is a plastic cover above the drivers door, that covers a hole, that kept falling out and i realized the plastic tabs were worn out. Since they weren't broken off, i installed a spring in between the two tabs, and pushed it into place.

Either a 4.0 or 4.6 would fit right in. Price would all depend on what all is missing. When you say needs engine, does that mean everything involved, i.e.. emission parts, a/c parts, radiator, exhaust. Might be, a great vehicle to get for free and part it out and sell on here or Ebay.
