ETA: And yes, I staked the axle nuts after torquing them down.

Got bored and decided to swap out the instrument cluster lights with blue LEDs.
Here it is totally torn apart just to see how it all works....

Default roof rack brackets

question, does anyone know where I could find the factory mounting brackets for a discoII roof rack like the one shown in this picture? I found a used rack but it did not have the gutter rail brackets and I have scoured the internet and have not been able to locate any.

any help would be great!

Changing the faces is easy.
Getting All the needles right is the hard part.

I looked at those white face gages, and apparently they are made to fit over stock needles. So the needles do not need to be removed.
I'de like to see how well they install. If you move the needles, they can get out of sync. I can only imagine trying to fix LR needles.

Not today but just the other day went over a mountain, pretty much sub 250 foot elevation to over 5000 foot in around 45 minutes... Highway speeds but as soon as it came time to downshift to 3rd to go over 50mph the worst pre-detonation i've ever heard, and no gain in power once in 3rd, only gain in clatter. I was hesitant to try to power through it so i just let it slog along in 4th. Is this normal behaviour? It did not do the same on the way back but that was with different gas and having spent a few days at around 3500ft.

Fresh fill of Chevron supreme just before this... bad gas or is the ECU that slow to adapt to sudden thinner air?
