I was going to but I had rushed an already ordered the TF shocks. UPS and USPS wanted an outrageous amount to return the TF so I could get the Fox. I goofed and will live with it and when they wear out just means hopefully I'll be done renovating my house and I can go a little more custom and try to max out travel without going any higher..
I have been hesitating on cutting the rears. Do you know if anyone has done a how to on the process or maybe a pic or two? It seems fairly straight forward but body work is not really a strong suit of mine.
It's pretty straightforward, there are some pics on the old Discoweb site, and a youtube video from "Tinker", search discovery 2 flexi flare install
I just did it. Did a rough cut with the angle grinder cut off wheel, then cleaned it up with a flap disc.
I also cut the fronts, and since the inner fender no longer fit well, I got a sheet of Kydex plastic and formed new ones.
Thanks, I had been meaning to watch the "Tinker" video. Did you opt to no use the big flexi flares and just run an edge trim over cut areas? How does the rear look if not using the flexi flares?

I'll get some photos later. I didn't do flares, not really keen on paying $300+ for flimsy plastic... it would probably look better, especially because I took off Terrafirma flares which were screw in, so I'm trying to cover up those holes.
For the fronts I'm having a welder make brush guards (steel tubing) to connect from the rock sliders to bumper

makes sense. A few pics would be great! I'm also not a fan of the way the flares look on a white disco especially with the price tag. I can clean up my cuts to make them all a little more uniform (still need to do that in the front) After watching the video I'm a little concerned with how it would look without the flares especially with the door molding added back on and the amount of silicon used.
I didn't use any silicone, nor the original rubber seals. I replaced them with those amazon links and they fit perfectly, no silicone necessary
Today I deleted the washer reservoir due to tire rubbing and put in a smaller tank. Saved about 22 pounds (terrafirma bumper washer bottle guard + reduced capacity)
In progress I am working on fitting rear hydraulic bump stops and new springs
