After years of procrastination replaced my rear wiper motor. Really, not a bad job at all.

I was going to do my lower tailgate hinge, which is jacked up, but will need to take the door off. There are what I believe two rivets to drill out and I cannot get to them, and the other hinge should be replaced as well.

Happened at a planned stop at a very nice place, I hope it brings me some good luck.

Examined my rear washer tube as I put in a new rear wiper motor, but the washer fluid is not coming out. It turns out that the hose has split inside the loom between the tailga and body. I will have to patch in a new tube when I do my rear hinges.

I had the same issue, as well as a sudden massive leak where the lines connect to the pump. Fluid and inside of reservoir was dirty. Went ahead and replaced all of the lines, as I suspected the "dirt" in the system was coming from the deteriorating lines. Inside the reservoir is a "non-serviceable filter", really just a strainer at the bottom of the tank, above the outlet hose barb. It was nearly completely clogged with the black sludge from the deteriorating hoses. While I had everything apart, I cleaned out the res, particularly the strainer, with carb cleaner. The gunk came right off and no more steering pump noise. Be careful not to damage the strainer.

Great idea, how difficult is it to get the line all the way to the tailgate.

Cut down that annoying threaded stud on the side of the upper intake plenum. The one that bolts to the coolant pipe. It makes it easier to install the plenum now. Sometimes it’s the title things

snagged a safety devices rack for $250 on craigslist last night! no mounting hardware so I'll be making some clamps unless someone has a set laying around for some reason. Also one of the rear bed support bars was cut out to better fit a fuel can according to owner. So will need to weld in some new bracing so I can build some decking for it and of course find some lights.
