Sorry about your condition, I feel your pain ..my achy back and joints are making me want to do one last push by rebuilding a 4.0 with 4.6 guts, along with the better trans from an 03. If I get that done, I won't be doing any major wrenching for good. Only maintenance. Then a wheel chair. Or maybe a jazzy. At least that's the plan. Maybe I'll get some medicare bionics and do an LS swap.

I specifically asked for stick weights for the outside and metal weights on inside of the wheel. I did find 2 1oz weights on the rear of 2 wheels but the weights looked very old so I don't think they even bothered to remove the old ones.... I took it to my usual shop (sadly not open on Sunday or I'd have gone there in the first place!). They said my wheels were not balanced properly. They did it with metal weights inside, sticky weights for outside inner wheel, 2 side balance & night and day on the road. That other shop will never have my business again.

@Best4x4 Yea they are worried the Fraser will breach, turning the Prairie between work and home into the lake it used to be. Fun times Vancouver is literally cut off from the rest of Canada right now.

But I am good full tank of gas and lots of food at home.

Just do the oil change with oil spec from your manual. No secret here. I have owned an 01’ D2 and ‘97 D1.

I just recently got a 2003 - DII. I have a few things on the list, however waiting for the oil to go on sale so I can do an oil change. For the time being a just grabbed an air filter and took care of that.

In reality all I need to do is an oil change as everything else has been taken care of (all fluids are freshly replaced), with that being said the oil is still clear, but for my piece of mind and to have a KM written down I will be changing the oil at the end of the month.
Welcome. Time to do the PCV mod and the inline thermostat mod. Those will take care of your oil leaks and the overheating issues. Might want to consider replacing the cooling system components that have not been replaced recently. The non-metal bits tend to deteriorate with age and miles.

@North the thermostat part is easy open the hood. If you have an aluminum housing sitting on or near the fan shroud in-line if you have hose or hoses with a plastic T stock.

The inline thermostat mod, my thermostat was replaced before I purchases the vehicle. How do I determine if it's the inline one or (the standard) one?

Thanks. And I will look into the PCV mod., Anything I can do to get the most amount of time out of this.
