hahaha I can send you the tire mounting plate if you'd like but it's certainly not how I'd design it if I were building a swing out from scratch

Replaced water pump, 2x idle pulleys, tensioner, belt.

Strange noise, noticed fan wobbling like crazy. Bearings in the pump shot.

Easy work.

Stuff from RoversNorth, maybe $350 all in, delivered over night.

Default Heated throtrle.body

I got myself a cloud steam at full throttle. It appears to be the throttle body, i have been reading about it for years. Finally my turn.

Rather than a 1/4" ba1bed fitting, i just cut the flex hose extension off the rigid hose and stuck one in the other. Hopefully that works.

By the time shop is tucked in, I'm often too beat to work on my own stuff, but I've been selling off a lot of my running vehicles and now my last little beater blew the radiator, which will be a few days to arrive. So I have been forced to finish this engine install. Really hoping to put in a long night and get it done!

WIsh me luck haha

Just drove 25 miles!

Had a hiccup where the cam sensor that had been on the used engine was no good, so had to let it cool down to swap sensors. That's quite a toasty location haha.

But my steering box that has been thinking about failing is began peeing all over the place, OF COURSE!

It's so good to be back on the road, even if now I need to buy more parts haha.

Nothing physically done to it but pulled up some pics of it over the past 17yrs of ownership. I'm the 2nd owner, I purchased it in 2007 and took it with me when transferred abroad. The ole girl has been all over the world with me - Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, now here in the US. I've done all the typical LR work to keep it in good repair, she still has original HGs. Upgrades and replacements that I recall: in-line therm, greaseable prop shaft, upgraded front bumper, fan motor, Ole Man Emu shocks and steering stab, coils/plugs/wires, belts and hoses (several times), ps pump (twice), CPS (on the shoulder of an interstate), oils and lubes regularly, recently replaced the headliner and swapped out the old incandescents with LEDs, so much more I don't recall.
