Finished my bumper build finally. Added hoops to protect the incredibly expensive headlights. Pretty stoked on the final product. The pics make it look wider then it is though.

I've done all the typical LR work to keep it in good repair, she still has original HGs. Upgrades and replacements that I recall: in-line therm, greaseable prop shaft, upgraded front bumper, fan motor, Ole Man Emu shocks and steering stab, coils/plugs/wires, belts and hoses (several times), ps pump (twice), CPS (on the shoulder of an interstate), oils and lubes regularly, recently replaced the headliner and swapped out the old incandescents with LEDs, so much more I don't recall.

This is clearly THE mic drop post in this thread. Admins should close down the thread and start another.

Round the back of Mt Hood off the Wapintia Hwy 216 and then on 197 up the Tygh Valley to Dufur. Snow wasn't great and almost got bogged down a a couple of times - appreciated having Falken A/T4s -

@mln01 , thanks for the comment.

I'm heading to Uzbekistan later this summer for a 2yr work assignment. I have quite a bit of work to do on the disco before we go. I'm hoping to explore the Silk Road and South Central Asia with the old girl.

Being in NJ (US) there is nowhere for me to go but own property to have not-road fun. Took it out in the storm to the back of our lot and had a blast! Still working out some bugs with the used engine I put in, but nothing that stops it. I love it.

In stark contrast to Roont's pictures above, the Land Rover Club of San Diego had their annual club breakfast yesterday. We had beautiful weather and at the height around 25 Land Rovers from the 50's to brand new. Shockingly, mine was the only Discovery there. (I don't count LR3s and 4s as Discoveries.)
