Replaced a zombie battery in my 2006 LR3 HSE and a majority of my error codes went away.


However, my 4x4 info display screen, and radio remain on when I leave the vehicle and the screen says the key is still in the ignition when it isn’t. I do realize my fob battery is dead…


There was some water ingress and the drainage tubes have been cleared. Also replaced the brake light switch just to be safe.


To re-iterate:

- fresh new battery
- new park brake switch
- radio, 4x4 info screen and message key in ignition when I remove the key


The shifter has been stuck in park with an ‘F’ on the dash for a fault. I have been able to shift using the emergency button under the shifter but what else should I be drying out or checking?

All Terrain Control Module (ACTM):

U0402-94

U0416-94

U0421-94

Transmission control module (TCM):

P0659-00

Any chance you got water into the shifter console? See https://landroverforums.com/forum/lr...ailable-23880/ Regardless, with codes for the shifter and terrain control, and them being located in the same space, I'd dive in there and see if you can clean up in that general area.

 

It would be worth pulling the console and cleaning the circuit boards. I found a lot of corrosion and what appreared to be dried soda or coffee distributed through the boards.
