Perhaps I did not use enough glue, because I was concerned about big dried permanent stains of glue - the cloth is very thin. But I actually think it was the wrong type of glue. My advice is not to remove the entire cloth to reglue it unless it is almost completely peeling off, or unless you are confident that you have the correct glue. In which case, send me some please!!
You want an adhesive with "headliner" on the label - and from a good brand

3M and Permatex each make one

I always gravitate to the 3M brand

Today I had the very RARE self healing LR3.

I had the engine light come on earlier this summer pulling a boat. then it went off and I could find nothing wrong. Then about a month ago it came on again and stayed on. Said low coolant, it did not look low maybe a little so I topped it off but light remained on.

Was going to take it to shoppe and then found some information on web that it might be the Float inside the coolant reserve tank. You have to buy the entire tank which I was going to do.

Magically the light has turned off (im thinking due to colder temps) and has remained off. So the float must be floating again.

I wonder why you can just replace the simple little bobber?

swapped out the interior lights for LEDs using the kit from powerfuluk. So far very happy with it, its a little brighter but not overwhelmingly so. The puddle lights in the doors are absolutely worth doing even on their own.

1 note for those with the Rosen DVD player...the replacement bulbs are 31mm festoon bulbs (5w). They dont come in the kit, i used Sylvania LEDs for them (off the rack from Advance) without any issue.

I have recently been replacing some off the damaged items on my LR. I have been locating items through CL from a local source that has several salvaged LRs.
Got a drivers side mirror assembly from an earlier model LR3 and although it is not equipped with a heating element is quite adequate.
Also got a seat bottom to replace the original one that is becoming ripped. Since all I really wanted was the leather cover it really doesn't matter that the base has no heater. I will just replace the 'fabric' portion with the one I purchased. Just involves removing the seat and replacing the cover.
I am preparing for a few trips next spring. Next will be a new set of tires, probably after the first of the year when finances are more favorable. Will be replacing the current Duratracs with an LT version to allow for airing down with a better stronger sidewall.

Happy trails

^ Starting a new thread in a tech area would be a better choice than in this thread, tony1.

Replaced my front brake pads and burnt out front marker bulbs a few days ago and tonight I'm going to see if I can fix my RF door lock since I'll have to park it at the airport for a few days next week. I'll also be replacing a burnt out rear turn signal bulb and changing my interior dome light bulbs to LED.

Im not sure of your precise issue but I have a problem with my driver door not locking. But if I lock it two or three times its fine and locked. Like its weak, so it needs a little more oomph to get it locked. If you dont have to to repair it you can at least try that. Might save you the hassle for now.
