Auto start/stop defeat
anyone else used this trick on a '22 Discovery (gas) successfully?
I ask because when I look in the area described by Chuck on my model, there isn't a model to pull..
anyone know where it might be? I wonder if the 3rd row seating displaced it.

Maybe I'm in the wrong space or not looking at the correct angle?
This was news to me and living up here in Canada I certainly didnt see the start stop feature being disabled due to the cold. For a while it was -25c here and the feature continued to work fine!!! I'll have a word with the dealer next week.
If the feature is so damaging to engines, I wonder why more and more manufacturers are installing it. Our local GMC dealer was advertising it like crazy on the new cars they were selling. I guess we can never guess the the odd workings of the car designers mind!

Either I'm looking in totally the incorrect space or this module has moved for '22. I'll post a pic here shortly, but where you show the module just above the ground wire, I have white floor space.
(side note, totally entertained by the simple rectangle of FOAM, that is important enough to require a parts sticker on it.)

The name of the module I have disconnected is: VQM (voltage quality module). If you can find out where they moved it to on your 2022 then maybe you can unplug it. Or maybe you don’t have this module.
Unrelated: auto stop start supposedly saves fuel and increases mpg numbers. I’d rather use a little more fuel than pay for a really expensive starter down the road. Plus I just don’t like it shutting off.
