Interesting, I hadn’t really noticed it, I guess it must sound ok.
It’s way too quiet in anything but dynamic mode where I have it programmed to keep the exhaust valves open.

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to code in lane centering during adaptive cruise control?

Thanks

I'm just here to say THANK YOU for this thread. Finally got my GAP tool and unlocked the one thing I've missed with the new(ish) Defender, adaptive cruise. It was honestly one of the reasons I never made my last 110 the primary daily driver, living in Texas everything is a 30 min highway drive.

Also, in the Defender V8 video put out by JLR they have a close up of the speaker grill while the driver is in dynamic mode around the 33 second mark.

I have been getting JLR alerts in my main screen, that there is an update available for download on my Defender V8 90.
Should be concerned at all about letting the car download the JLR update, given that I now have several things reprogrammed to my liking with my GAP tool?
Would I be at risk of losing any of my settings if I let the car go ahead download its update.
Still new to the whole JLR product and the GAP tool thing programming.
I keep cancelling out of the JLR update prompts for fear of losing any of my GAP tool programing.

No. No concerns with OTA updates. Your changes will remain unaffected.

I have had lots of OTA updates and there is no impact on the ECU file changes made.

Hi!
I'd like to deactivate automated air circulation. It activates in very cold temperatures (like -25 C) and windshield gets fogged. Otherwise HAVAC-system functions perfectly.

You also need to enable a few setting that if I recall were grouped in the 895 and you can choose what short cuts you want displayed such as window defrost etc. Those are called soft buttons.

any details? or luck yet?

I’ve got the shortcut window to appear as well as the ‘custom’ sidebars, however I can’t figure out how to add options in the sidebar.

From memory, the new button on my left sidebar contains TR Mode and the right side has a volume slider (see my earlier post for details)

I do not get any of the climate control options. While I was doing the setup, Pivi served up a ‘demo’ screen that included climate control icons, however my actual screen does not include them.

I was hoping that the 4.2 update would change things, however it has not.

My question is how Dynamic affects the shifting/throttle if you leave the gear selector on Automatic. Like is the throttle more agressive in Dynamic/Auto versus Comfort/Auto or is it exactly the same?
With Dynamic Mode on and the transmission in D, the throttle response is a bit sharper, gears are held a bit longer and the transmission will sometimes rev match downshifts. With the transmission in S, the throttle response is the same, but gear changes are quicker, crisper and the transmission will rev match downshifts all the time. When the transmission is being shifted manually, the car will not auto upshift, like it will do in Comfort mode, instead, it will bounce off the rev limiter until you shift up.
