Changed my oil Thursday, then truck started to run like crap. I then noticed my long term fuel trims were through the roof. After opening the hood I realized I left the oil cap off.

Drove around today and took a right turn on a street that well, was steep. At the top third i would say easy 45 degrees. Going up was a task for the D1. Ended up shifting to 1st gear and did better but man, in D it was a struggle. Funny stuff.

A street that was 45 degree incline!? That wasn't a street, that was a highway divider.

I took my 96 up to the summit of Mauna Kea saturday night to try and catch some of the perseid meteor shower. I only saw probably 5 or 6, but the Milky Way was out in force and it was as gorgeous as I've seen it. Bonus photo shoot with the D1 in front of it.

There's nothing quite like the view of the stars from 14,000ft in the middle of the Pacific

Replaced the alternator for the second time in 2 days. The first O’reilly’s reman was a dud. The good thing out of this was that I found that the 100A fuse for the alternator had been replaced with a 70A by the previous owner.

the second alternator worked as it should. How do I get the yellow check engine light to go off? Does it cycle off after a while?
