Changed break-in oil and filter.
Changed trans fluid, filter and fluid will happen soon, just wanted to check and fill (had about three quarts).
Drained transfer case (about a half quart drained out) and filled.
Changed starter.
Swapped out tie rod bar and drag link with a HD TF set l had.
Changed both axle fluid.
Greased driveshafts.
Aired tires.
Road test, checked codes - none.
started on the motor mount replacement and they old ones were in pieces. Pass side came out fine, still have the motor side nut/fractured piece with stud to break loose. That one is a pain in the *** to get a hand on a wrench with any force from top or bottom..Have trans mounts to do next but those look much simpler.
I ended up using an angle grinder with a cutoff disk to remove one of the two engine mount nuts/studs.
As for the trans mounts, the passenger-side mount was easy to replace but I still haven't figured out how to get a wrench on the upper nut for the driver-side (LHD) trans mount nut. Happily that mount is still intact, but if anyone has the "secret sauce" to get to that nut please let me (us) know.
I have no clue how I would even begin to get any sort of tooling in where I need to get this nut off. Trying to be patient and hit it with PB blaster every so often and will try again tomorrow morning...I'll take a look at the left side trans mount and see if I can come up with something.
Went out in hopes of finding the leak in my AC system so that I can order the appropriate replacement parts and have an enjoyable summer in the truck. Turns out that the system only holds a vacuum for a couple minutes - there's a really substantial leak somewhere. On top of that, the can of refrigerant/dye that I'd purchased turns out to be defective so I couldn't check to see if my compressor works or where the leak is.
I'm really close to just having the local Rover shop deal with this - I shudder thinking about spending $1k on air conditioning but this just seems like a nightmare to work with.
Also if anyone is thinking about buying the Bearmach STC50026 headlight guards that screw into the fender/front grill - I can't recommend against them enough. The hardware is all non-stainless so it fuses together and it's impossible to remove. I need to source some alternate hardware so that it can easily screw in/out and I can, for instance, change my headlight bulbs without a dremel.

While there's nothing wrong with using a local Rover shop to diagnose and repair the A/C there's also no need for a specialty shop. The A/C system is generic, meaning it's not Rover-specific. Any shop competent in A/C work should be fine.

Remove your grill and look at the small A/C line that runs between drivers side headlight and radiator to condensor, common place for a leak. The line is held in place with a mounting clip there and rots out from salt and corrosion.
