Or you could unknowingly overpressurise the system and be sitting in a drive-through when the relief valve blows, dumping the whole system in a huge cloud in a single second, coating your entire engine bay with indicator oil.

Most of the parts store kits have a gauge, green/low on freon, blue/fill range, red or yellow/over charged or compressor issue. Best to have a A/C thermometer and stick it in center vent, A/C on lowest setting, blower on high, windows up/in shade and recirculation button pushed. Make note of ambient temperature/humidity level and shoot for about 30/35 degrees below that. Watch gauge, staying in blue range and watch thermometer. If 85°...55°/50° out of the vent on a stationary vehicle would be acceptable. Vent temps will most likely be lower, once vehicle has more air moving across condenser. R134a doesn't like being overfilled, you will see temps drop if system receives to much freon.

Yes, caution should always be used...while doing A/C charging. And repairs should be done by a MAC certified shop or mechanic. Or if you have any doubts at all about your skill level...have a professional make repairs or recharge system.

With everyone talking about recharging their low pressure AC line I went ahead and bought this to try out…

I’m going to do a before and after temp check.

Got the white one out for a little off-roading on Saturday with a couple of buddies and their RRC. I was at the end of the group and I don't think anyone took any photos unfortunately. Truck ran well and so far has been performing nicely since the hg and cam swap.

Green one will be running today, just need to throw coils, upper intake and repipe coolant lines. then fluids and time to crank

Edit: I snapped one while airing back up.

Cursed the stupid rad cap, collapsed rad hose - thermostat to T. It really needs to stop raining so I can get Extinct's mod in place. At least I have a spare.
