DEF Injector cleaning. 2017 D5 TD6 Located Driver Side, just past 2cd factory skid plate. Most of build up stuck to the other side. The build up just dropped off. I cleaned with a hand held steamer. Water/steam only.
Some notes:
My rig has 60K.
The screw that holds the clamp is rotated to the top.
I re installed rotated down in a easier position to re tighten.
TIP: During reassembly, position injector( it only go one way) squeeze clamp together, push the locking tab down, then reinstall the screw.

Thanks for this write up. Is this a relatively easy job with the handheld steamer? Can you wipe away the build up with a rag or is the injector finicky? Appreciate you!
Going in the morning to dealer for a recall notice. Supose to fix the Nox issue/ something like that.
Is there any intel regarding the recall? What exactly is the problem and does the solution result in any impacts to performance, fuel economy, or reliability?
