Replaced the right engine mount, as I jacked the engine up the left engine mount separated, 4 letter words were spoken, it looked perfect up until then.

Need to check the transmission mounts now.

I started cleaning all the quick disconnect wire connections under the hood and around the engine by spraying Deoxit contact cleaner and adding dielectric grease.
I disconnected the SAI pump air hose to check if there was water in it from our rainy season and forgot to reconnect it. I started Myrtle this morning and immediately heard the SAI pump loudly call me a jackass to reconnect the SAI air hose.

Default Bought a used D2? change your fluids

I finally changed my differential fluids in my 2000 D2. Now I am all up to date. Glad I did, for the rear had metal shavings, whereas the front was relatively clean. Perhaps it was forgotten by the previous owner, but sand and water do not mix well in these hubs. I use Royal Purple 75-90, and have replaced the plastic fill plugs with those cool chunky brass plugs. I now rest better.

Having fun on Vancouver Island

Refinished the valve covers from my rebuilt engine. Almost finished with the Bosch/gems conversion.

I started making my rear bumper tonight. Ran out of steel and steam. Lol

That’s awesome, I’ve often thought about fabbing rear winch with a small ATV winch size- more so for the fun of fabrication- but I’m hung up on the practicality of a scenario where needing to tug back my stuck nearly 4 ton truck with a little tiny winch.
I’d need pilot blocks to amplify & that means a looooong rope
